UL Testing standards

UL Testing determines one or more characteristics of a certain product, service or process according to UL specified testing procedure or UL standard technical requirement. UL testing mostly on the electrical and electronic related industries as well as industrial and commercial sectors.When a product is regulated,for the safety for the person who use it,the product is required do UL testing. UL has several standard parts or testing regulations,which testing depending on the product, UL testing to show compliance is needed. Following is the UL testing standards products scape:

The UL 900 testing is designed to determine combustibility and the amount of smoke generated for air filter units under testing. Our product is constructed according to required methodology and simulates actual filter applications to determine accurate readings of performance and flame-exposure testing.

**** The UL 900 testing method simulates a fire within a duct impinges on the filter.

**** The testing filter of ul 900 is mounted inside a standard size duct and a specific air flow through the filter is established.

**** Before the start of the testing, a methane flame is ignited on the upwind side of the filter, resulting in a direct flame against the filter, which is maintained for three minutes.

**** For classification, strict limits of UL 900 testing standard are placed on the amount of smoke and flames that may pass through the filter.

**** For Class I, during the testing,no flames or sparks may pass through the filter and only a small amount of smoke can be generated.

**** For Class II, during the testing,limited flaming and sparking are acceptable and a larger amount of smoke may be generated.
