Flame-retardant plastic grading by the HB, V-2, V-1 to V-0 incremental step by step:
UL rated class HB: UL94 and CSA C22.2 No 0.17 standards at the end of the most fire-retardant grades. Requirements for 3-13 mm thick sample, burning speed is less than 40 mm per minute; less than 3 mm thick sample, burning speed is less than 70 mm per minute, or 100 millimeters in the previous mark out.
UL rated class V-2: two samples of 10 seconds of the combustion tests, the flame extinguished in 60 seconds. Can have combustion of falling.
UL rated class V-1: samples of the two burning 10 seconds after the test, the flame extinguished in 60 seconds. No burning of falling.
UL rated class V-0: two samples of the burning 10 seconds after the test, the flame extinguished in 30 seconds. No burning of falling.
